Health, performance and satisfaction don't just fall from the sky - especially during periods of high performance or when you are "getting older", your body tells you unmistakably that it needs a lot of attention and wants to be well looked after.
Not only restful sleep, sufficient exercise and important vital substances, but also good stress management are the basis for the regulation and regeneration ability of the entire body.
But what exactly is uniform? We understand our topic as follows:
Whether in an office job or physically on site – we all need our heads to be able to work well. The human brain is our most important resource and is not only responsible for intellectual activities, but for the entire organism with all its interlocking regulatory systems such as the respiratory system, the cardiovascular system or the hormone- and the immunesystem and metabolism in balance.
If the "software of our regulatory computer" is disrupted, many systems can no longer do their job correctly. The first signs of an imbalance can be dissatisfaction, inner restlessness, increased irritability, difficulty concentrating or memory problems. Physical symptoms such as sleep disorders, headaches or muscle pain can also be a result of mental overload.
By mental health we therefore mean not only cognitive performance and psychological stability, but also stable holistic health as well as general well-being, balanced emotions and the experience of motivation and meaning.
Promoting holistic health through getting enough exercise and eating well is already anchored in the minds of many people. It is not without reason that there is a clear upward trend in organic labels, gyms and prevention courses.
But how can I improve my mental health?
Few people have a concrete answer to this question.
At the Academy, we spent a long time thinking about how we could illustrate our approaches in a clear model and summarized our ideas in the graphic on the right-hand side.
Great! In our

The world of work has changed dramatically in recent years – the Western world is currently transforming from a physically active industrial culture to a technology culture.
Most people currently earn their living with their heads - they use their brains as their greatest resource. Due to the rapid changes in the job market, we will be required to have even more and higher mental abilities in the future.
According to expert estimates, in about 20-30 years, around 50% of our jobs will be replaced by robots and artificial intelligence. Robots are already being used successfully in operations, driving, surveillance, and in the home and garden.
In addition to digital skills, future work skills such as self-management, self-reflection, creativity as well as emotional intelligence, empathy and resilience are already in high demand.
It is therefore a good investment for employers to support employees in maintaining their health or even improving their mental performance.
This not only contributes to better overall health and thus fewer sick days, but also to a lived appreciation and thus higher motivation of employees and increased employer attractiveness.
